Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 4, 2026
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how IGNIFIT, LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("IGNIFIT", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the IGNIFIT apps for iPhone, Apple Watch, Android, and Wear OS, available on the App Store and Google Play (together, the "App") and the website at igni.fit (the "Website", and together with the App, the "Services"). It also explains the choices and rights you have, including how to delete your account.
IGNIFIT is the controller of your personal information for the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and similar laws. If you have any questions, contact us at support@igni.fit.
1. Summary
We collect the information you enter in the App, such as your workouts, plans, exercises, notes, and gyms, so we can store and sync it for you.
We collect limited technical information, such as crash reports and how features are used, to keep the App working and improve it.
If you record workouts on Apple Watch or a Wear OS watch, the heart rate and active calories it measures stay on your devices and in Apple Health or Health Connect. We never receive them.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for targeted advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
You can export your workout records and delete your account and all of its data at any time in the App, under Settings.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Account information. You can use the App without creating an account. If you create one, we collect the information needed to sign you in: your e-mail address and password, your phone number, or the information provided by the sign-in service you choose (Apple, Google, X (Twitter), or Microsoft), such as your name, e-mail address, and a unique account identifier. If you use Sign in with Apple, you can choose to hide your e-mail address. We never receive the password for your Apple, Google, X, or Microsoft account.
Workout information. The workouts you record and plan, including exercises, sets, weights, repetitions, durations, rest times, dates and times, notes, custom exercises, workout plans, and the awards and progress calculated from them. Some of this information may be considered health-related information under certain laws (see Section 10).
Gym information. When you check in to a gym, we store the gym you select, including its Google Places identifier, name, address, and website.
App settings. Unless you turn off Sync Settings, we store your App settings, such as units, workout defaults, timer, theme, and weight plates, with your account so they are the same on each of your devices. Notification settings stay on your device.
Communications and feedback. If you contact us, we collect your e-mail address and the contents of your message. If you submit feedback through the feedback form on an exercise's page, which is provided by Typeform, we collect the answers you enter, along with any contact details you choose to provide.
Information collected automatically
Location. Only if you allow it, the App uses your device's precise location while you are using it to (a) suggest the gym you are at when you start a workout, by matching nearby gyms against gyms you have checked in to before, (b) show nearby gyms first when you search for a gym, and (c) remind you to finish your workout when you leave the gym. For (a) and (b), your precise location is sent to Google Places, which processes it under its own privacy policy. The leaving-the-gym reminder is handled on your device. We do not store your location on our servers. You can turn off location access at any time in your device's Settings.
Heart rate and active calories. Only if you allow it, when you record a workout on Apple Watch or a Wear OS watch, the App measures your heart rate and the active calories you burn with the watch's sensors, through Apple HealthKit on Apple Watch and Health Services on Wear OS, and shows them during the workout. On Apple Watch, the App saves the workout with these measurements to Apple Health. On Wear OS, the watch sends them only to the App on your paired Android phone, which saves the workout with them to Health Connect as a strength training session if you turn on Health Connect in the App's Settings. The App asks Health Connect only for permission to write exercise sessions, heart rate, and active calories burned, and does not read any data from Health Connect. These measurements are never sent to our servers or to service providers such as Firebase. You can view and delete them in Apple Health or Health Connect, and turn off the App's access there or in your device's Settings at any time.
Usage information. Through Google Analytics for Firebase, we collect information about how the App is used, such as which features and screens are used, when a workout is completed, or when an exercise is created, together with the device model, operating system version, App version, language, approximate region (derived from your IP address), and an app-instance identifier.
Crash and diagnostic information. Through Firebase Crashlytics, we collect crash reports and error logs, which include information about your device and the state of the App when the problem occurred, along with your App user identifier so we can investigate problems with your account.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect payment information, your contacts, or photos, and we do not receive any information from Apple Health or Health Connect. We do not collect your device's advertising identifier for tracking.
3. How We Use Your Information and Our Legal Bases
We use your information only for the purposes below. Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the legal basis listed for each purpose.
To provide the Services, including creating and securing your account, storing and syncing your workouts across your devices, finding gyms, sending reminders and notifications you have enabled, calculating your progress and awards, and exporting your data. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
To maintain and improve the Services, including fixing crashes and errors, understanding which features are used, and developing new features. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and useful App. Where required by law, we rely on your consent.
To use your location for suggesting and searching for gyms and for reminders. Legal basis: your consent, which you give through your device's location permission and can withdraw at any time.
To use your heart rate and active calories to show them on your watch during a workout and to save your workouts to Apple Health or Health Connect. Legal basis: your consent, which you give through your device's health data permissions and can withdraw at any time.
To communicate with you, including responding to your requests and sending important notices about the Services or this Privacy Policy. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interests.
To keep the Services safe and comply with the law, including preventing fraud and abuse, enforcing our Terms of Use, and responding to lawful requests. Legal basis: our legal obligations and our legitimate interests.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only as described below.
Service providers. We use service providers that process information on our behalf and only according to our instructions:
Google (Firebase Authentication, Firebase Realtime Database, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Firebase Crashlytics) for sign-in, data storage and sync, analytics, and crash reporting. https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Places for finding and displaying gyms. https://policies.google.com/privacy
Typeform for collecting the feedback you submit through the in-app feedback form. https://www.typeform.com/legal/privacy-policy
Sign-in services. If you sign in with Apple, Google, X (Twitter), or Microsoft, or with your phone number, that service processes your sign-in under its own privacy policy:
X (Twitter): https://x.com/en/privacy
When you choose to share. If you share a chart or workout to Facebook, Instagram, X, or another app, or export your data, the information you choose is sent to that app or service and is handled under its privacy policy.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, a court order, or a lawful government request, or that it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of IGNIFIT, our users, or others.
Business transfers. If IGNIFIT is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
5. Third-Party Content and Links
The App shows articles and videos (including YouTube videos) and contains links to websites operated by others. When you view or open them, those third parties may collect information about you under their own privacy policies, for example the Google Privacy Policy for YouTube. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
6. International Data Transfers
IGNIFIT is based in the United States, and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those in your country. When we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) included in Google's data processing terms, or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions where the recipient is certified. You can contact us to learn more about these safeguards.
7. How Long We Keep Your Information
Account and workout information is kept until you delete it or delete your account.
Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
Usage information collected by Google Analytics for Firebase is kept for up to 2 months for event data and up to 14 months for user data.
Backups may contain copies of your information for up to 30 days after it is deleted, after which they are overwritten.
Messages you send us are kept as long as needed to respond to you and keep a record of our communications.
We may keep information for longer if we are required to do so by law or need it to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
8. Deleting Your Account and Information
You can delete your account and all of the information associated with it at any time directly in the App, without contacting us. This applies whether you signed in with an account or continued without one.
How to delete your account
Open the App and go to Settings.
Tap Delete Account.
Type "Delete" to confirm, then tap Delete.
If you have not signed in recently, you will be asked to sign in again to confirm it's you. If you use Sign in with Apple, you will always be asked to confirm with Apple, so that we can disconnect your Apple ID from the App. This protects your account from being deleted by someone else.
If you would like to keep a copy of your workout records, use Settings > Data Export before deleting your account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What is deleted
Your account and sign-in information, including your e-mail address, phone number, and the link to any Apple, Google, X (Twitter), or Microsoft account you used to sign in;
All of your information stored on our servers, including your workouts, workout sets, plans, custom exercises and exercise notes, gyms, reminders, and App settings; and
All of your information stored in the App on your device.
What may be retained
Crash reports, usage information, and backups are deleted at the end of the retention periods described in Section 7. We may also retain information where we are required to do so by law.
Deleting your IGNIFIT account does not delete the account you used to sign in with Apple, Google, X (Twitter), or Microsoft. If you use Sign in with Apple, we automatically revoke the App's access to your Apple ID when you delete your account, so the App no longer appears in your Apple ID's Sign in with Apple settings. To disconnect a Google, X (Twitter), or Microsoft account from the App, remove the App in that service's account settings. Deleting the App from your device without using Delete Account does not delete your information from our servers.
If you cannot access the App
Contact us at support@igni.fit from the e-mail address associated with your account, and we will delete your account and information for you.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Rights available to everyone
Wherever you live, you can:
Access and export your workout records using Settings > Data Export, or ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
Correct your information by editing it in the App or contacting us;
Delete your account and information as described in Section 8;
Withdraw consent, for example by turning off location, notification, or health data access in your device's Settings; and
Object to analytics by contacting us.
Additional rights in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Additional rights for U.S. residents
Depending on the state you live in (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Washington, and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:
Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and the categories of sources and recipients;
Access, correct, and delete your personal information, and obtain a portable copy;
Opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, and profiling. We do not sell or share your personal information for these purposes, and we have not done so in the past 12 months;
Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We use sensitive personal information only as necessary to provide the Services;
Appeal our decision on your request by replying to our response; and
Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
California notice at collection. In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information described in Section 2: identifiers (such as e-mail address, phone number, and account and device identifiers); internet or other electronic network activity (usage and crash information); precise geolocation (only with your permission, shared with Google Places to find nearby gyms, and not stored by us); and other information you enter in the App, such as your workout information. We collect this information from you, your device, and the sign-in service you choose, for the purposes described in Section 3, and disclose it only to the categories of recipients described in Section 4. We keep it for the periods described in Section 7.
How to exercise your rights
Use the tools in the App where available, or e-mail us at support@igni.fit. We may need to verify your identity, for example by asking you to send the request from the e-mail address associated with your account. You may also use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, in which case we may ask for proof of authorization. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, generally within 30 days (45 days in some U.S. states).
10. Consumer Health Data
Some of the workout information you record in the App, such as the exercises you perform and the weights you lift, may be considered "consumer health data" under laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act, or health information under other laws. We collect and use this information only to provide the Services you request, as described in Sections 2 and 3. We share it only with the service providers described in Section 4 that process it on our behalf, and we never sell it. You can access, export, and delete this information, and withdraw your consent, as described in Sections 8 and 9. The heart rate and active calories your watch measures are not sent to us: they stay on your devices and in Apple Health or Health Connect, as described in Section 2.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, or under the minimum age required by the law of your country (for example, 16 in some countries in the European Economic Area), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@igni.fit, and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls on our servers, and requiring you to sign in again before sensitive actions such as deleting your account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by other appropriate means before the changes take effect, and where required by law, we will ask for your consent.
